Along with supporting the Organic Farming Industry by purchasing only 100% Certified Organic Cotton for all our clothing needs, Butterfly Maidens is Very Involved with Non-Profit Organizations that are working hard to help save our planet. Jennifer Griffith, owner of Butterfly Maidens, started the program called metamorphosis, where 10% of each sale goes to one of five hand-picked organizations involved with either environmentalism, peace activism, or world healthcare. And what makes this program so unique is that she allows the customers to choose exactly where their money goes. When customers add an item to their online shopping cart, they are asked which one of the five organizations they want 10% of that sale to go to. And the customers gets to chose a new organization with each item purchased! This allows them to diversify the money they give to the donation program. Metamorphosis was incredibly important to Jennifer, because a huge part of her overall mission is to empower her customers to feel the joy that comes with being a positive activist. She wants to give the term "Activist" a well-deserved makeover, so people stop associating peace activism in particular with negative imagery. This is a critical time in the history of our planet and we need everyone to get involved in one way or another. Becoming a Wise Consumer and taking control of exactly where your dollars are spent is a great way to become an active part of the modern movement to save our planet.
