| | Above & Beyond:
We exclusively work with Eco Friendly materials, including certified organic cotton,
formaldehyde-free and wildcrafted 'peace' silk, hemp blends; and many rare
textiles that are hand spun and woven by villages across the world that our
designer works with personally, including unique cottons, loose woven silks, and
bark fabric.
We offer carbon neutral certified designs with our Fashionably Neutral Carbon
Program (tm). The amount of carbon used to produce these designs from the
cultivation of the fiber through to the shipping to our doorstep is calculated by a
third party and is offset through LIve it Green, LLC, which invests in Wind Energy.
We offer "Sweat Free" clothing through the use of Fair Trade Labor.
Rene Geneva has personally trained a certified, fair trade women’s cooperative in
Nicaragua to produce our designs.
We manufacture in the USA or at the source of the textiles and work with fair trade
labor in developing countries.
All sales help a higher cause.
Scraps for Schools (tm) recycles our unused fabric scraps and donates them to
pre- and elementary schools to help bring awareness to children within their art
projects.
We are heading the Sun Power Project (tm) to install solar electricity to the women's
cooperative in Nicaragua, which will in turn help support the surrounding
community.
Our company car uses 99% bio-diesel, we use eco-friendly printing, wind-power
webhosting, and offset our company’s carbon footprint through the purchase of
Green Tags,
which help to build wind farms for energy.
We are a proud member of Co-op America!
| | Did You Know:
During this period of time many different countries developed their own style from Spain’s style of corset. In England, the Tudor Corset utilized iron corset covers for both men and women, while France, Germany, and Italy preferred a less stiff style to create a wider hip. Toward the end of the Renaissance Era, 16th Century, Queen Elizabeth I created the "Elizabethan Corset" inspired by the Tudor, but with a less rigid and emphasized waist.
