Did You Know:
Did you know that the clothes drying machine is the second energy hog in your household? (Don't have one? - then you are amazing! and read no further...)
Anyway, the dryer uses more electricity than anything else except the frig. Did you also know that compared to 95% Americans, only 12% of Europeans have a dryer?
So who needs ones? No one really. SO if you really want to make a significant reduction in your daily CO2 emissions, then let that old hog go idle and hang your laundry on a drying rack. It's easy, quicker than you think, saves tons of money, smells good, adds moisture to the air and significantly reduces household CO2 emissions. What's to not like?
The most common 2 choices are wood or metal. Wood is less expensive, can be made locally and brings back fond memories. Aluminum is a good choice for humid climates as it is guaranteed to not rust.
So go ahead, make a difference and hang it up.
