Sensatia Botanicals is proud to be a local, village based profit-sharing company.
Feel good knowing that 17% of the entire sale price of Sensatia products goes
directly to the Balinese crew who work hard to hand produce the finest, most
delectable body care products south of the equator. Sensatia is more than 100%
natural bodycare; Sensatia is a lifestyle supporting an amazing group of people.
In 1999 we started with just 2 employees. After just 4 months we were honored to
employ 6 more Balinese people. After just 18 months we were ecstatic to involve &
empower 23 Balinese people developing & producing Sensatia products.
Additionally, a plethora of others whom are continually supported by Sensatia
Botanicals. Coconut harvesters, loofah sponge growers, seaweed & sea salt
harvesters, herbal lulur makers, fruit & vegetable farmers, etc., probably 100 or
more people have direct association & make a healthy living working together with
Sensatia Botanicals. This makes us happy! We have succeeded in developing &
supporting a local economic structure in a paradise that is in need of aid. | | Did You Know:
Balinese Lulur is an ancient village remedy
originating from the rice farmers of Bali. It has
been handed down through generations & is
recognized as traditional medicine. It is believed
to help warm the body, relieve aching joints as
well as soothe sore muscles. The history is that
the hand-crushed spice would be applied on the
legs after a day's work of standing in the rice
paddies. Today, lulur is becoming very popular in
Asian spas, usually offered as an exfoliating,
polishing treatment for the body. Locally, used by
young woman to help aid in the recovery of
troubled skin, as well as newborn babies to tauten
the skin and fight infection. We use an ancient
village recipe of sandalwood, fennel seed, star
aniseed, eaglewood, fenugreek, gandepure &
salam leaf as the dominant ingredients for this
powder. Herbal and earthy-sweet. leaves your skin
feeling incredibly soft, smooth and silky. We are
sure you will enjoy this gently stimulating
traditional Balinese remedy. |

This has been an exciting discovery as it is one of the few honestly natural products of the world, to be used with a clear conscience,and knowing at the same time you are supporting needy Balinese peoples.
