Description:
Taraluna is a small, woman owned/family run business and although we cannot compete with mega-corporations, we offer unique products that our customers will feel good about purchasing and giving as gifts. The products that we carry are fair trade, organic or otherwise green. We offer an alternative to mass produced, chemically infused, sweatshop labor products. Our products are environmentally sustainable, socially responsible and as natural as possible. We cater to the conscious consumer looking for more! | | Certifications & Associations:

We start by offering only products that are good for people & planet; socially responsible, fair trade, sustainable products. To take this a step further we “greened” our office by using 100% PCW recycled paper, reducing, reusing and recycling boxes and other shipping & office materials. We use the USPS because they are certified “cradle to cradle” for their use of recycled and recyclable shipping products. We joined Climate Smart to offset our carbon footprint - we are happy to report that our office and warehouse are carbon neutral.
Taraluna supports many local, national and international environmental, humanitarian and animal organizations. Some beneficiaries are: Californians for Alternatives to Toxics, The Association of Environmental and Outdoor Education, Tibetan Aid Project, PBS, Hurricane Katrina, Sequoia Humane Society.
We feel our greatest contribution is in providing safe, sustainable products made in a fair and equitable manner while allowing artisans dignity and a safe working environment. However, we will continue to be as green as possible and give a portion of our profits to worthy and just causes that benefit people, animals and planet.
