LED Bulbs

In recent years, light-emitting diodes or LEDs have seen major improvements in performance. Today, they are strong enough to be used in medium-scale lighting applications. LEDs produce almost no heat, consume much less electricity, and last far longer than incandescent or fluorescent light bulbs, making them the green choice – which is why we at Pristine Planet want to help you do your own LED retrofit.

Retrofitting your light system in the home in order to take advantage of any LED replacement bulb or lamp is not hard. In fact, all you really need to do is find the bulb or lamp with the right base. For example, if you want to replace the bulbs on your holiday light strings, then LED C9 or C7 lamps are the way to go. Aside from being nigh unbreakable, these lights produce so little heat that there is no danger of them setting anything on fire.

The active component of an LED C9 light bulb, like all LED light bulbs, is made of solid-state material, meaning that there is no space inside the component to speak of. That makes these lamps not just smaller and more energy-efficient, but also sturdier and longer-lasting. An eco LED lamp can consume as little as 5% of the energy used by an incandescent lamp, which translates into big savings.

Lots of people worry over the price of LED lighting. However, think about it: though an LED replacement bulb may cost 2 or 3 times as much as a fluorescent or incandescent lamp, they can last up to 10 times longer. That’s at least 1/3 the cost over a decade, and that’s not counting the savings on your electricity bill.

No matter how you look at it, eco LED bulbs and lamps are the wave of the future – a brighter, cleaner future for all of us.
